Joanne Turney

Joanne Turney is a Professor of Fashion and Textiles at the University of Southampton, affiliated with Winchester School of Art. Her work bridges academic research, editorial leadership, and pedagogical innovation, focusing on everyday fashion practices and their socio-cultural implications.

• Research: Explores post-war dress, marginalized garments (e.g., cardigans, vests), and intersections of fashion with social justice.
