Patricia Hunt-Hurst is a Professor at the University of Georgia's College of Family and Consumer Sciences, Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Interiors. She specializes in African and African American dress and textile history, particularly focusing on 19th-20th century Georgia and South Carolina. Her research also explores cultural perceptions in global fashion markets and college dress traditions. She has led study abroad programs to Ghana and London since 1996.
