Joanne Sellick is an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Plymouth, affiliated with the School of Society and Culture within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business. She holds leadership roles including Associate Head of School (Education and Student Experience) (2021–present) and Programme Leader for the LLM and Law programmes. Previously, she served as Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Business (2013–2019) and managed undergraduate Law programmes (2004–2013).
Her teaching and research focus on European Union Law, Public International Law, Environmental Law, and Constitutional Law. She contributes to modules such as Law of the European Union, Public International Law, and Legal Skills and Systems. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in environmental and governance frameworks.
Joanne’s career spans over two decades in legal education, emphasizing student experience and curriculum development. She has held roles including Undergraduate Admissions Tutor, Stage 1 Tutor, and Module Leader. Her professional activities highlight her commitment to advancing legal education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
