Dr. Stacey DeAmicis is a Lecturer in Marine Ecology and Associate Head of School for the School of Biological and Marine Sciences (SoBMS) Foundation Year at the University of Plymouth. She holds multiple leadership roles, including Programme Leader for SoBMS Foundation Year Pathways and Academic Programme Coordinator for PALS in Marine Biology. Her teaching spans modules like Marine Biology Field Courses, Biodiversity, and Applied Aquatic Biology, with a focus on employability and fieldwork.
Her research emphasizes invasive species impacts on marine ecosystems, particularly seagrass beds, and integrates sustainable development principles into education. She has contributed to long-term ecological studies on invasive algae and their effects on native species, as well as pedagogical approaches to science communication and institutional sustainability.
