Joanne Davis

Joanne Davis, Ph.D. is a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Director of Clinical Training at The University of Tulsa, affiliated with the Kendall College of Arts & Sciences and the Trauma Research: Assessment, Prevention, and Treatment Center. She also serves as co-director of the Institute of Trauma, Adversity, and Injustice.

• Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Arkansas

Her research focuses on trauma-related nightmares, PTSD treatment, and interpersonal violence prevention, with over two decades of work on Exposure, Relaxation, and Rescripting Therapy (ERRT). Recent publications examine nightmare treatment efficacy, language patterns in trauma narratives, and trauma's intersection with gender diversity.

Notable awards include the University of Tulsa Outstanding Researcher Award (2020) and Outstanding Teaching Award (2014). She has served on the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies Board of Directors (2015-2020).
