Joanne Caruso

Joanne Caruso, OD, is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences at New England College of Optometry (NECO). She serves as Disease Coordinator for International Programs in Europe and Israel and works as an Attending Optometrist at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. Her clinical expertise includes Ocular Disease and Primary Eye Care.

Education: Doctor of Optometry (OD) from NECO. Research interests focus on Cataracts and Ocular Tumors. She has contributed two chapters to Clinical Cases in Eye Care (2019), addressing rare ocular pathologies like ciliary body melanoma and Roth spots linked to acute leukemia.
