Benjamin Young

Benjamin Young, OD, FAAO, is an Associate Professor at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) within the Department of Clinical Education and Clinical Sciences. He serves as an Attending Optometrist at the NECO Center for Eye Care in Roslindale and teaches courses such as Clinical Reasoning I and Principles and Practices of Optometry I-III.

Dr. Young's research focuses on Optometric Education and Ocular Disease, particularly exploring multi-platform teaching methodologies and ocular manifestations of recreational drug use. His clinical work spans glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, and diagnostic imaging.

His publications highlight expertise in glaucomatous pathology, neurovisual deficits post-stroke, and interprofessional management of systemic diseases. He has authored case studies on B-scan ultrasound applications and advanced ocular examination techniques.
