Joanna Greenlee Kline is an Assistant Professor of Old Testament at the School of Ministry, Theology and Biblical Studies. Her research focuses on Old Testament narrative coherence, biblical wisdom literature, and early Jewish/Christian interpretation. She holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies and English from Gordon College, an M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Harvard University's Committee on the Study of Religion. Her forthcoming book, Intimations of Jacob, Judah, and Joseph in the Stories of King David, explores Genesis-Samuel narrative parallels. She taught at Harvard and studied in Germany/Israel during graduate school, while also volunteering at a Cambridge homeless shelter.
