Joanna Golec

Professor Joanna Golec is a faculty member at the Bronisław Czech Academy of Physical Education in Krakow (AKF), where she serves on the Scientific Council, Senate, and Faculty Council. She heads the physiotherapy specialization at Małopolska Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital in Krakow since 2006 and participates in the Thematic Team for Undergraduate Education at KIF.

Professor Golec's research centers on Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, with emphasis on diagnosis and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders using modern diagnostic methods. Her work explores vibrotherapy applications for knee osteoarthritis and phonation disorders, temporomandibular joint dysfunction impacts, and urogynecological physiotherapy interventions. She integrates clinical practice with innovative therapeutic approaches to address complex rehabilitation challenges.

She has supervised six completed doctoral dissertations, three ongoing doctorates, and one implementation doctorate at AKF's Doctoral School of Physical Culture Sciences. Professor Golec actively contributes to research projects including the international MOV-E initiative developing intercultural communication skills in physiotherapy through e-learning.

At Małopolska Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, she leads clinical teams specializing in musculoskeletal disorder treatment. Her international collaboration in the MOV-E project demonstrates commitment to advancing global physiotherapy education standards through technology-enhanced learning solutions.
