Joanna Ede is a Clinical Lecturer in the School of Psychology (Faculty of Health) at the University of Plymouth. She holds an Honorary and Flexi Clinical Associate Psychologist role with Cornwall Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). With 18 years of experience in children’s wellbeing, mental health, education, and safeguarding services, her expertise focuses on complex emotional/behavioral difficulties and service improvement through electronic system development. She currently leads teaching on the University of Plymouth’s MSc Clinical Associate in Psychology programme and has previously contributed to service audits and clinical roles within CAMHS.
Teaching: Clinical Associates in Psychology programme.
Research Interests: Joanna’s work emphasizes translating clinical practice insights into systemic improvements, particularly in adolescent mental health service delivery and technology integration in healthcare. Her background combines frontline clinical experience with academic contributions to training next-generation mental health professionals.
