Joanna Beveridge

Joanna Beveridge is a Lecturer in the Division of Occupational Therapy & Arts Therapies at Queen Margaret University. She graduated from Queen Margaret College in 1995 and worked for 17 years in the NHS in clinical and managerial roles, including a Macmillan OT post in palliative care. In 2012, she returned to academia as a Professional Practice Tutor for the undergraduate OT programme, focusing on expanding practice placement opportunities in the Third Sector and enhancing Erasmus exchanges. She holds an honorary contract with St Columba’s Hospice for clinical and educational collaboration.

• Education: BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, MSc in Palliative Care (with distinction).

Her research interests center on palliative care, health-promoting palliative care practice placements, and service learning. Joanna has contributed to teaching modules on occupational therapy practice placements and professional development. She is affiliated with the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
