Joana Costa is a Visiting Scholar and Researcher at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA). She holds a PhD in Economics from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and specializes in impact evaluation of social policies related to gender inequalities, poverty, education, labor markets, and health.
- Education: PhD in Economics (PUC-Rio)
Her research focuses on evaluating educational, labor, and health policies while analyzing youth decision-making in educational and labor contexts. She has previously contributed to projects at the International Poverty Centre (UNDP-Ipea) from 2004 to 2009.
