Joan Munné is a Senior Lecturer in Romance Studies and Linguistics at Duke University. He holds an M.A. from the University of Barcelona (1997). His research focuses on second language acquisition, language-learning technologies, and teacher training, with recent emphasis on machine translation’s role in L2 writing and peer feedback in language learning.
His teaching spans courses like SPANISH 310 (Translation), SPANISH 309S (Spanish in the U.S.), and advanced heritage speaker courses. He has developed award-winning Latino/a Studies curricula and contributed to textbooks such as Mapas and Aula en Acción.
