Recent work explores globalization’s impact on local communities, industrial food systems, and environmental dynamics.
Dr. Ferrante’s awards reflect her impact on teaching and scholarship. She established the Beyond the Classroom study abroad scholarship through textbook royalties. She advises students like Rachel Ellison, a photography major contributing to her textbook projects under visual arts professor Barbara Houghton’s mentorship.
