JoAnn Rogers is an Associate Professor in the Arts, Culture and Technology Department at Clarkson University. Her academic work focuses on intersections of social inequality, gender, and masculinity, with additional emphasis on race and ethnicity. She teaches courses such as the Clarkson Seminar, Intro to Gender Wealth, Health, Inequality and the Environment, Intro to Culture and Society, and Introduction to Race and Ethnicity.

Rogers' research critically examines systemic inequalities and cultural narratives, particularly in contexts like white supremacy and gendered social structures. Her 2004 publication with Jill Litt, Normalizing Racism: A Case Study of Motherhood in White Supremacy, explores how racial ideologies are perpetuated through familial and societal norms.
