Professor Jo Rycroft-Malone OBE serves as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medicine at Lancaster University, where she holds the position of Distinguished Professor. Her leadership extends to national health research initiatives, having chaired the National Institute for Health Research's Health Services & Delivery Programme from 2015 to 2021. She actively contributes to advancing health research methodologies and promoting equity in healthcare delivery.
Professor Rycroft-Malone's research focuses on implementation science and evidence-based practice in healthcare settings. Her work centers on developing frameworks for implementing research evidence into practice, with particular emphasis on research coproduction, mental health services, prehabilitation before cancer surgery, and infection prevention in care homes.
