Jiwon Jun is Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Design Program at California College of the Arts and Senior UX Designer at Autodesk Research, exploring human-centered experiences at the intersection of design and emerging technologies.
Education includes MFA in Media Design from Art Center College of Design and BFA in Visual Communication Design from Kookmin University. Research focuses on:
- 3D printing applications in product and industrial design
- Virtual reality content creation and user experience
- Wearable technology and expressive interfaces
- Human-robot interaction
- Speculative design for emerging technologies
Creative works demonstrate innovative approaches to tangible interaction design, with recent projects exploring kinetic jewelry, drone customization, VR content curation, and data privacy wearables. Publications have been featured in ACM Interaction Magazine and exhibited internationally including Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
Awards include SXSW Interactive Innovation Award (2016) and Art Center Graduate Honors Fellowship (2015). Professional experience includes 6+ years as Research Designer at HP Labs developing concepts in 3D printing and VR, and design consultancy work for companies including LG U+ and Harman International.
