Jiuchen Deng is a Lecturer and Program Coordinator at Johns Hopkins University, where he contributes to the MS in Applied Economics and MS in Financial Economics programs. His work integrates academic leadership with teaching and research in specialized areas of economics.

Deng’s research focuses on labor economics, health economics, the economics of education, and development economics. His work applies causal inference methods and skill formation models to analyze children’s human capital development, alongside affiliations with University of Minnesota research centers.
He has taught microeconomics and econometrics courses across departments at multiple universities in both in-person and online formats. His leadership as Program Coordinator underscores his active role in graduate economics education at Johns Hopkins.
