Jitka Hrbek

Jitka Hrbek is a researcher at the Institute for Process and Energy Technology within the Department of Natural Sciences and Sustainable Resources at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). She holds the academic title Dipl.-Ing.Dr., indicating she possesses both an engineering diploma and a doctoral degree.

Her research focuses on advanced bioenergy conversion technologies, particularly thermal gasification processes for waste and biomass materials. Dr. Hrbek has demonstrated expertise in converting various feedstocks including agricultural residues and woody biomass into usable energy forms. Her work examines process optimization, reaction mechanisms, and the impact of additives like Ca(OH)2 on combustion efficiency.
