Christoph Pfeifer

Christoph Pfeifer is a full professor at the Institute of Process Engineering and Energy Technology (BOKU, Vienna). His research focuses on biomass gasification, biochar applications, renewable energy systems, and thermal conversion technologies. He leads projects funded by the EU, Austrian government, and industry partners.

• Hybrid renewable energy systems for rural electrification
• Circular economy applications of biochar (nutrient recovery, soil remediation)

Collaborations span institutions in Austria, United Kingdom, Italy, Chile, and Palestine. He has co-authored 193 publications and presented at 155 international conferences.
