Thomas Karl Hannl

Dr. Thomas Karl Hannl is a researcher specializing in Process and Energy Engineering at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), affiliated with the Institute for Process and Energy Engineering within the Department of Natural Sciences and Sustainable Resources. His research focuses on sustainable energy technologies, particularly in fluidized bed systems, waste-to-energy conversion, and resource recovery from waste streams.

Dr. Hannl completed his doctoral studies in Energy Engineering at Luleå University of Technology (2018-2023), with research on fluidized bed combustion and gasification for phosphorus recovery. He previously earned a Master's degree (2016-2018) and Bachelor's degree (2012-2016) in Process Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology.
