Jinqiang Zhang

Jinqiang Zhang is a Lecturer at the School of Molecular Sciences, The University of Western Australia (UWA), where he joined in 2025 after receiving an ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award. He concurrently holds an Adjunct Lecturer position at the University of Adelaide (2025-2028).

He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Edith Cowan University in 2021, focusing on nanostructured photocatalysts for solar fuels production. His doctoral research spanned from May 2017 to February 2021.

Dr. Zhang's research centers on photocatalysis and solar energy conversion for sustainable fuel production, with expertise in hydrogen evolution from water and CO₂ conversion to high-value fuels. His work leverages nanomaterials like carbon nitride and high-entropy alloys, contributing significantly to UN Sustainable Development Goals for clean energy and climate action.

Analysis of his 74 research outputs (2020-2025) reveals dominant trends in advanced catalytic materials: carbon nitride-based systems for H₂O₂ generation, high-entropy alloys for environmental remediation, and bimetallic catalysts for methane conversion.
