Jinqi Xu

Dr Jinqi Xu is a Senior Lecturer in Interdisciplinary Education within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), Enterprise and Engagement at the University of Sydney, holding an Honorary Associate position with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She leads Industry and Community Project Units (ICPUs) across multiple faculties, collaborating with major organizations including Bain & Co, Deloitte, Qantas, IBM, and UAC on projects addressing sustainability, digital transformation, and educational equity.

Her work reconceptualizes memorization as embodied practice rather than rote learning, bridges Confucian educational principles with contemporary pedagogy, and develops frameworks for cultural competence in interdisciplinary settings. She examines how students navigate cultural differences in group work and develop intercultural communication skills essential for global workplaces.

Her publications reveal consistent focus on cultural adaptation, embodied learning, and inclusive pedagogy across higher education contexts.
