معرفی
Jing Zheng, PhD, a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, focuses on mechanisms of angiogenesis and vascular dysfunction in pregnancy-related conditions, particularly preeclampsia. She investigates intracellular signaling pathways involving nitric oxide, VEGF, and angiotensin II, as well as endothelial differentiation from stem cells.
- Education: B.S. (Xiamen University), M.S. & Ph.D. (North Dakota State University)
- Labs/Teams: Leads the Zheng Research Team, collaborating with the Stem Cell Research Program and Cardiovascular Research Center
Research Trends: Recent work explores transcriptomic and phosphoproteomic changes induced by tryptophan metabolites and microRNA regulation in fetal endothelial cells, emphasizing fetal sex-specific mechanisms in preeclampsia.
- Scientific Awards: Editor's Choice in The Journal of Physiology (August 2025) and Journal of Physiology (January 2025)
- Grants: 2025 Meriter Foundation grant for Long Non-coding RNA 00704 research in preeclampsia
Collaborations: Works with Dr. Chi Zhou (University of Arizona) and Dr. Sathish Kumar (UW–Madison School of Veterinary Medicine).
