Jing Liu, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership at the University of Maryland College Park. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics of Education from Stanford University (2018) and serves as an affiliate researcher with the Maryland Longitudinal Data Center and DC Education Research Collaborative. Her work focuses on leveraging computational methods and large-scale data to address critical education policies affecting marginalized students, particularly in urban settings. Key research areas include student absenteeism, exclusionary discipline, educator labor markets, and the integration of artificial intelligence tools into teacher practice.
