Clinical Associate Professor Jin-Gun Cho is affiliated with the University of Sydney's Westmead Clinical School, specializing in Medicine. He is a member of the Charles Perkins Centre and focuses on tuberculosis (TB), respiratory diseases, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging. His research integrates clinical pharmacology, chronic disease management, and healthcare technology adoption. Recent studies include evaluating AI tools for TB diagnosis and optimizing pulmonary rehabilitation protocols for COPD patients. He leads projects on TB drug management, adverse effect mitigation, and global health responses to co-infections like TB and COVID-19. Notable collaborations include the Global TB/COVID-19 Cohort Study and randomized trials assessing text messaging support for chronic disease patients. Current advisees are investigating antimicrobial decision-making, AI in radiology workflows, and TB treatment optimization in co-infections.
