Dr. DİLBER DURMAZ is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pulmonary Diseases, Faculty of Medicine, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, where she also serves as Head of the Department. Her work focuses on respiratory medicine with emphasis on COPD, sleep-disordered breathing, post-COVID-19 rehabilitation, and interstitial lung diseases. She has contributed to studies on pulmonary sarcoidosis cardiac effects, telemedicine applications for chronic respiratory patients, and biomarker analysis in pulmonary embolism.
Research highlights include leading a randomized clinical trial on tiotropium inhalation therapy for COPD (2007-2009), authoring chapters in textbooks like *Lung and Extra-Pulmonary Organ Tuberculosis* (2008) and *Respiratory Function Tests* (2012), and publishing over 20 peer-reviewed articles in indexed journals. Notable awards include an oral presentation first prize in national scientific competitions.
Her academic duties include teaching Microbiology and serving on institutional ethics boards. Recent work addresses post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection, demonstrating expertise in tele-rehabilitation methodologies and functional capacity assessment.
