Jimmy Biblarz is a Lecturer in Law at the UCLA School of Law and an associate at Hueston Hennigan law firm. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, an A.B. from Harvard College, and a Ph.D. in Sociology & Social Policy from Harvard University. His research focuses on social capital, equal protection law, and computational analysis of legal texts, particularly desegregation cases. He previously worked at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, specializing in litigation for public utilities, technology firms, and municipalities. He maintains an active pro bono practice with organizations like Public Counsel and Lambda Legal.
Dr. Biblarz teaches courses including LAW 406 Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research for LL.M.s and LAW 119 MLS Capstone Seminar. He is a board member of Equality California PAC and the Harvard LGBTQ Alumni Caucus. His work has been supported by the NSF and Harvard fellowships. He ran for Los Angeles City Council in 2022 and served as a legislative director for a city councilmember.
Recent professional engagements include participation in the Privacy Law Scholars Conference and a webinar on judicial dismantling of administrative capacity. His career bridges legal practice, academic research, and public service, with a focus on civil rights and policy.
