Professor Jim Wild is a leading academic in Space Physics at Lancaster University and the Royal Astronomical Society's President-Elect (2025-26), advancing to President in 2026. His work bridges solar-terrestrial physics, space weather impacts on infrastructure, and planetary interactions. As head of the Space and Planetary Physics group, he leads 20 researchers, integrating satellite data and Arctic field experiments.
