Jim Mahoney is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Ohio University Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service. He is also an Educator-in-Residence with the Buckeye Association of School Administrators. With over 25 years in education, Mahoney has held roles as a superintendent, principal, and teacher. He co-authored Data-Driven Decisions and School Leadership: Best Practices for School Improvement and has contributed articles to national and state publications.
As Executive Director of Battelle for Kids for 15 years, Mahoney expanded the nonprofit’s reach to impact 6 million students and 400,000 educators globally. His work focuses on advancing educational equity through partnerships with schools, governments, and businesses. He has presented internationally in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and China.
