Jim Gilmour

Dr. Jim Gilmour is a Visiting Researcher at Edinburgh Napier University (Sighthill Campus) and a Researcher at the University of Sheffield's Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. His research focuses on microalgal biofuels, extremophiles, and biotechnology, with a career spanning over four decades. He holds a BSc (1979) and PhD (1983) from the University of Glasgow, followed by postdoctoral work at the University of Würzburg (Germany) and the University of Liverpool.
