Jill Korach is an Instructor in Biology and Assistant Director of Field Programs at Miami University, affiliated with Project Dragonfly. She instructs field courses globally and advises graduate students. Her work integrates conservation science with community engagement, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology

Research Interests: Focuses on how personal and cultural connections to nature drive conservation. Combines biology, psychology, and education to address ecological and social challenges, with fieldwork in Belize, Hawai’i, Galápagos, and India. Collaborates with local communities to design conservation strategies rooted in cultural values and ecological science.
