معرفی
Dr. Jie Zhang is a Research Associate at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Imperial College London. His work focuses on tribology, lubrication engineering, and mechanochemistry, with a particular emphasis on lubricant additives, MEMS applications, and ZDDP-related mechanochemical behavior. He has contributed to projects involving lubrication in micro-electro-mechanical systems, antiwear tribofilms, and industry consultancy for oil companies.
- Education: BEng in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Tribology and Surface Engineering from China University of Geosciences (Beijing)
- PhD: Tribology Group, Imperial College London (2007-2011)
His research spans lubrication mechanisms, tribological films, additive chemistry, and surface interactions, with applications in energy systems, automotive engineering, and industrial manufacturing. Recent work explores gaseous lubricants, mechanochemical responses, and digital modeling of lubricant performance.
He has received a Marie Curie Fellowship and collaborated on consultancy projects for oil companies since 2009. His publications reflect interdisciplinary work in mechanical engineering, materials science, and chemical physics.
