Jie Ouyang

Jie Ouyang is a Lecturer and PhD Candidate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen. His research focuses on European consumer law, sustainable consumption, and the integration of EU constitutional principles into private law frameworks. He holds an LLM in European Private Law from the University of Amsterdam and a Juris Master in International Commercial Law from Peking University.

Research Interests:

Ouyang’s work examines how EU constitutional principles and fundamental rights can reshape consumer law to promote sustainability. He collaborates with institutions like KU Leuven’s Consumer Competition Market Research Institute to advance sustainable consumption research.
