Jialiu Zeng is Assistant Professor at Syracuse University affiliated with the BioInspired Institute. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University (2020) and completed postdoctoral training at Yale University and Nanyang Technological University. His research develops nanotechnological solutions for neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders.
Research Focus: The Zeng Lab integrates nanotechnology and biomaterials to address:
- Nanomedicine platforms for toxic protein clearance in neurodegeneration
- Lysosomal acidification defects in Parkinson's/metabolic diseases
- Blood-brain barrier penetrating therapeutics
- Multi-omics approaches for biomarker discovery
- Stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems
Honors include Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship and IBRO Travel Grant. Publications demonstrate consistent focus on lysosomal pathophysiology and nanoparticle therapeutics.
