Dr. Jiachen Hou is an Assistant Professor in the School of Management at the University of Bradford. Her research explores Industry 4.0-enabled service innovation with applications in healthcare improvement and supply chain management.
Education: PhD from Nottingham Trent University focused on SME technology adoption processes, supported by EU-funded projects on Europe-Asia technology transfer.
Her current research examines pharmaceutical supply chain resilience, healthcare interoperability, and IoT systems in medical contexts. She develops frameworks for technology adoption in SMEs and healthcare organizations, with recent work focusing on responsible AI implementation in medical IoT systems.
Dr. Hou serves on editorial boards for International Journal of Design Engineering and Journal Scientia et PRAXIS. She coordinates international research collaborations on healthcare supply chains with partners in Indonesia, China, and the UK.
