Fatima Gillani

Fatima Gillani is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Business and Industry Transformation (CBIT), Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. She holds a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management and teaches courses in Innovation & Business Transformation and Global Consultancy, where she serves as co-module leader. Concurrently, she maintains an Assistant Professor position at universities in Pakistan, instructing in operations management and research methodologies.

Her multidisciplinary research explores technology transitions, digital capabilities, and sustainable business transformation. Primary domains include:

• Industry 4.0/5.0 implementation strategies
• Institutional impacts on electric vehicle adoption
• Resilience in digital supply networks
• Gender-inclusive global supply chain development

Publications (2018-2020) demonstrate consistent focus on digital manufacturing adoption drivers, organizational configurations for digitalization, and taxonomy development for technology phenomena, employing frameworks like TOE (Technology-Organization-Environment).

She leads CBIT projects on sustainability, micro-mobility, and business model innovation, including consultancy for gender-inclusive supply chains through data analysis of Women-Owned Businesses.
