Jesús Luzardo is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Loyola University Chicago, where he contributes to the Department of Philosophy. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Fordham University. His research focuses on Social Political Philosophy, Critical Philosophy of Race, Continental Philosophy, and Latin American/Latinx Philosophy. He is currently developing a book manuscript exploring the relationship between nostalgia and white supremacy and co-editing (with Tyrone Palmer) a Special Issue of Philosophy Today on Black Studies and Continental Philosophy intersections.
He actively participates in academic initiatives through the Philosophy Department’s Marxism Reading Group. Luzardo’s work bridges theoretical frameworks with contemporary social issues, emphasizing critical race theory and political philosophy.
