Jessica Wohlstetter serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Montclair State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds an EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research focuses on second language acquisition, particularly analyzing how learning styles (visual, auditory, reading/writing, kinesthetic) impact students’ ability to acquire American Sign Language (ASL).
- Teaches ASL 101 and 102
- Co-developed asynchronous ASL courses for MSU and Hudson County Community College
- Recipient of the Montclair State Adjunct Award (2018)
- Co-editor of The Rubrics Circle: Unlocking the Never Ending Puzzle of Assessment (2010)
Her expertise bridges language education, instructional design, and assessment methodologies. Office hours are held Tuesdays 5:00–5:30 PM at 1 Normal Ave, Montclair, NJ.
