Jessica Wilen is an Clinical Assistant Professor at the Yale Child Study Center and the inaugural Director of Professional Standards for Yale School of Medicine. She focuses on health equity, mental health innovation, and fostering professionalism within academic medicine. Dr. Wilen manages the Viola W. Bernard Fund for Innovation in Mental Health Care, addressing access barriers for vulnerable children and families. Her roles include resolving professionalism concerns, overseeing climate assessments, and mediating faculty disputes.

- MSW in Social Work, Washington University in St. Louis (2007)
Her research interests span diversity & inclusion, leadership coaching for working parents, and organizational policy development. She previously served as Assistant Dean of Students at Washington University, where she created behavioral intervention teams and campus policies addressing discrimination and sexual misconduct.
Her publications explore racial equity in parenting and child development, as seen in her 2020 series on discussing race with white children.
