Dr. Jessica Viven-Wilksch is a Lecturer in the Adelaide Law School at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. Her research focuses on private law, particularly the role of morality in contract law, good faith in contractual relationships, and regulatory regimes in the construction industry. She holds a PhD in Law examining good faith principles in Australian and EU contract law. Dr. Viven-Wilksch is also passionate about e-learning in legal education, serving as co-facilitator of the University's e-Learning Community of Practice since 2018. Since January 2021, she has been Deputy Chair of the UNCITRAL National Coordination Committee for Australia. Her research explores comparative contract law, construction law, and legal theory, aiming to enhance international contractual confidence through comparative legal analysis.
Her work integrates global perspectives into legal development, analyzing successes and pitfalls in jurisdictions like Australia and the EU to propose legal reforms. Recent projects include studies on relational contracts in Australia and the UK, industry standards in construction law, and the role of technology in legal education.
