Jessica Telfer

Jessica Telfer serves as a Professor of Arts Management within the Arts Management department of the Dance & Entertainment school at Oklahoma City University, maintaining an active dual career as both educator and professional costume designer since 2005 across U.S. theater, film, and television industries.

Her educational qualifications include:

• Master of Arts in Luxury and Fashion Management from Savannah College of Art and Design
• Bachelor of Fine Arts in Costume Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts

Professor Telfer's expertise focuses on practical costume design and arts management, demonstrated through extensive work at prestigious venues including Pasadena Playhouse, South Coast Repertory, and Sacred Fools Theater Company. Her artistic contributions span theatrical productions like "Peace in Our Time" and "Stoneface: The Rise and Fall and Rise of Buster Keaton"—earning nominations for LA Weekly Theater Awards and Ovation Awards—as well as film projects such as "Delivery: The Beast Within" and television work for "Will to Live" on TV One, reflecting her integration of industry practice into academic instruction.

She maintains ongoing professional engagements with Oklahoma City's Lyric Theatre Thelma Gaylord Academy and Los Angeles theater circuits while teaching at Oklahoma City University.
