Holly Poe Durbin is a Professor of Costume Design and Head of Costume Design at the Department of Theatre within the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Her career spans professional costume design for theater, film, opera, and themed entertainment across global venues including Broadway, London's West End, and productions in Italy, China, Japan, Germany, Spain, and Israel. She integrates artistic method with leadership training in courses such as Digital Costume Rendering, Digital Textile Design & Printing, and The Visual Story seminar.
- Education: BA in Art, Art History, and Dramatic Literature from Vanderbilt University; MFA from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television.
Holly emphasizes preparing students for evolving entertainment careers by merging creative expression with practical negotiation skills, project management, and digital innovation.
