Dan Hanessian is an Associate Professor of Theatre Design/Technology at Purchase College, SUNY, within the Conservatory of Theatre Arts. With over 30 years of professional experience in theatre technology spanning Broadway, film, television, opera, dance, and themed entertainment, he specializes in equipping students with collaborative problem-solving skills and industry insights to prepare them for diverse careers in the entertainment sector.

• Founder of the Broadway Technical Theatre History Project, dedicated to recognizing backstage professionals.
