Jessica Taylor is a Bye-Fellow at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, and a Senior Research Associate at the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Cambridge Institute. Her research focuses on paediatric brain tumours, particularly WNT-activated medulloblastoma, aiming to develop less invasive diagnostic methods and treatments with reduced long-term side effects. She also supervises undergraduate students in the Medicine Tripos and mentors graduate students in the lab.
- Education: Biological Sciences (University of Salford), PhD in Biochemistry (University of Manchester).
Jessica's research involves mapping surface proteins on tumour cells to design tumour-specific probes using labelled antibodies. Her work bridges biochemistry, oncology, and translational research, emphasizing automation and clinical applications. She has collaborated with Professor Richard Gilbertson at CRUK to advance paediatric brain tumour studies.
Her scientific awards include the Roger Ekins Fellow and Emmanuel's Research Fellowship. She engages in teaching through undergraduate supervision and lab mentorship, complementing her research with practical training.
