Dr. Jessica Stapley is a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich, specializing in evolutionary biology and genetics. Her research program investigates adaptation mechanisms in plant pathogens through population genomics and quantitative trait mapping approaches.
Current research examines:
- Temperature stress response in wheat pathogens
- Osmotic stress adaptation mechanisms
- Population genetics of fungal diseases
- Genomic basis of thermal adaptation
Recent publications explore genetic determinants of stress tolerance in agricultural pathogens using QTL mapping and comparative genomics. Teaching includes population genetics courses at ETH Zurich.
