Jessica Roth is a Professor of Law at Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, and co-director of the Jacob Burns Center for Ethics in the Practice of Law. She previously served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, specializing in violent crime and securities fraud, with extensive jury trial experience.
Education: B.A. from Harvard College (1992), J.D. from Harvard Law School (1997). Post-law school clerkships included Judge Denise Cote (U.S. District Court) and Judge John M. Walker Jr. (Second Circuit Court of Appeals). She also worked at the Gibbons Firm, receiving the John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest and Constitutional Law.
Research focuses on criminal law, evidence, and legal ethics. Her scholarship appears in journals like UCLA Law Review and the Journal of Criminal Law & Criminology. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Innocence Project.
