Jessica Rizk is a Lecturer at Wilfrid Laurier University and a Senior Researcher at the Conference Board of Canada's Education and Skills Department. She holds a PhD in Sociology from McMaster University, supported by SSHRC funding, and is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo.

Her research examines digital technology's role in education, focusing on Canadian children (grades 3-8) in urban/rural New Brunswick and Ontario. Supported by SSHRC, her work bridges K-12 and postsecondary teaching experience spanning over a decade.
She has received the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship and SSHRC Insight Development Grant. Her teaching includes SY 423: Children, Parents, and Schools, integrating her research on social inequality, qualitative methods, and family dynamics.
