Jessica Leather is a Teaching Professor in the Division of Psychology & Mental Health at the University of Manchester, funded by the NIHR Greater Manchester Patient Safety Translational Research Centre. Her work focuses on adapting interventions to prevent self-harm among youth in CAMHS services and improving healthcare professional adherence to NICE guidelines for self-harm prevention. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester and MSc/BSc degrees from Liverpool John Moores University.
Research interests include suicide/self-harm prevention, healthcare professional roles in mental health, and long-term conditions. She teaches psychology research methods and has contributed to projects like the Manchester Centre for Health Psychology.
