Jessica Hoffman is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Augusta University's College of Science and Mathematics, Department of Biological Sciences. She also holds appointments at the Department of Genomic Medicine and The Graduate School, working closely with the Dog Aging Project.
- Ph.D., Genetics, University of Georgia (2015)
- BS, Biology, Clemson University (2008)
Her research focuses on aging biology through metabolomics and microbiome studies, using diverse models including dogs, mice, and fruit flies. Key areas include dietary restriction mechanisms, sex differences in aging, and inflammaging processes.
2023-2025 publications highlight metabolomic profiling (2025), microbiome interventions (2025), and cross-species aging comparisons (2024). Recent work explores mitochondrial dysfunction (2023), dietary stochasticity (2025), and canine aging models (2024).
She teaches courses from undergraduate research to genomic medicine seminars, with expertise in evolutionary biology and translational metabolomics.
